A. Authentication Data
When you sign in to ShipNLaunch (via email magic link or third-party authentication powered by Supabase Auth), we receive your verified email address and basic authentication provider metadata. If you choose to sign in using Google, Google may provide basic account information such as your name, email address, and profile image, subject to your Google account settings.
B. Profile Data
You may customize your maker profile on ShipNLaunch by providing a public username, display name, avatar, and personal bio. This profile information is displayed publicly on your maker portfolio page.
C. Product Submissions & Maker Content
When you submit a product for directory listing, we collect the product name, tagline, description, external website URL, primary category, pricing model, logo image, and preview screenshots. This content is published publicly upon review and approval.
D. Community Interactions
When you engage with platform features, we record your upvotes (associated with your user account ID to prevent duplicate voting) and your public comments on product discussion threads.
E. Sponsorship & Payment Data
Payment processing is handled by Dodo Payments. ShipNLaunch does not directly collect or store full payment card numbers. ShipNLaunch retains transaction references, payment status, and sponsorship scheduling records for campaign fulfillment and accounting.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Display the public software directory, product profiles, and maker portfolios.
- Maintain user sign-in sessions and authenticate user actions.
- Calculate weekly community leaderboard rankings and display vote tallies.
- Enable product discussion threads and maker feedback.
- Schedule, display, and verify purchased sponsorship placements.
- Moderate submissions, prevent spam, and maintain platform security.
4. Infrastructure & Service Providers
ShipNLaunch utilizes trusted cloud infrastructure providers to operate the platform:
- Supabase: Provides managed PostgreSQL database services, user authentication infrastructure, and Supabase Storage to store product media such as logos and screenshots.
- Vercel: Provides web application hosting and content delivery network infrastructure.
- Google: Facilitates social sign-in authentication when selected by the user.
- Dodo Payments: Merchant of record and payment processor for sponsorship transactions.
We do not sell personal data or provide personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Analytics & Tracking
ShipNLaunch does not currently employ third-party cross-site behavioral tracking networks, advertising pixels, or invasive analytics trackers.
Standard server logs (including requested URLs, timestamps, and HTTP status codes) are maintained temporarily by hosting infrastructure for operational diagnostics and security monitoring.
7. Data Security & Retention
We implement standard safeguards to protect your personal information, including HTTPS encryption in transit, Row Level Security policies within our database, and restricted access controls.
Public product listings, maker portfolios, upvotes, and comments remain accessible as part of the directory unless removed through moderation or upon an authorized deletion request.
While we apply reasonable technical protections, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely invulnerable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights & Controls
You have direct control over your platform data:
- Profile Updates: You can edit your username, display name, and bio anytime in your Profile Settings.
- Comments & Votes: You can remove or toggle your upvotes and delete comments you have authored.
- Account Inquiries: You may request account removal or data inquiries through our contact channel.

ShipNLaunch contains links to third-party software products, maker websites, and external service providers. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites.
